Hiroo International Clinic opened on February 1, 2007 in Minami-Azabu, an area overflowing with people from diverse countries around the globe. This Clinic is a medical facility aimed at serving the needs of foreigners living in or visiting Japan.
When people from overseas get themselves examined at typical Japanese hospitals/clinics, many worry that language difficulties may prevent effective communication and thus make it difficult to get the desired level of health care.
The Hiroo International Clinic has doctors licensed in both the United States and Japan with extensive experience providing healthcare services in English and Japanese for people of all countries. We support our
patients by considering the therapies they are accustomed to receiving in their home countries, and by helping them live a deeply satisfying daily life
by freeing them from health-related worries.

Before returning to Japan I worked as an Internal Medicine/General Practice physician in the American
University and hospital setting. After returning to Japan I treated foreigners at Tokyo Medical and Surgical Clinic, again in the area of internal medicine.
I am continually struck by the numerous worries that people face when they live outside their native countries. Language, daily customs, and health care conditions vary greatly from region to region. These worries can be even harder to deal with when one has to face an illness on top of all that.
I aim to draw upon my experiences living overseas to make this clinic a place where foreigners living in Japan can find greater peace of mind and ease of obtaining satisfactory health care services.
